my name is kelsi and i want to make your hair rad. i rent a chair at, and manage a 2-chair salon in a small town north of seattle. i drive about 40 minutes from my apartment in seattle to the salon every day, and i love the place so much, i wouldn't have it any other way! (it's a paul mitchell salon, and i am looking for additional stylists, by the way!)

i love working for myself, and am constantly learning new things. learning is one of my passions. i want to know it all! marketing is one of my new fascinations.

i do hair, i draw, i sew, i drink massive amounts of coffee, i am mesmerized by vivid colors, and i advocate vegetarian/veganism.

I go to Kelsi at Rivendell Hair in Arlington, WA (the REAL Washington.....NOT DC) because Kelsi is unlike any stylist I've ever had do my hair. She is not only a master with hair, she is creative and pleasant to be around. I remember first meeting her. She made me feel at ease and she listened to whatever I had to say, vent, or whine about that day. I was only there for a trim maybe, but she artfully cut my hair with her shears. Since then, I've been to her several times. Her salon has fabulous surroundings. It is in the old Alamo building in downtown historic Arlington and has a charm all it's own. The relaxed atmosphere and funky vibe are evident when you get to the top of the stairs at Rivendell Hair. I would recommend anyone to Kelsi. She knows her stuff and is fun to be around at the same time. Though I haven't gotten a color service from her, yet, I've seen her artistry with it and she can do anything. In fact, I believe she may be one of the best in the industry. Because of her and other stylists like her, I've been inspired to also start a career in hair. -Elizabeth

KELSI! I just wanted to say that Rivendell Hair is the coolest salon I've ever been to. It's such a comfortable atmosphere and you really know what you're doing. I like how you actually ask me if I like something before you move on to the next, until my hair's perfect. Every time I come there I leave satisfied. Kelsi did my hair for a photo shoot in California. She made my hair have a very bold look but it really suited me. Her style is awesome and she really works with your bone and face structure to come up with the right combination of make-up and hair. Kelsi also has interesting techniques of getting your hair to do what ever she wants it to do. I am very confident in her work and would use her again if she ever comes back to California. -Heather

Well, lets all admit it kelsi is the BEST. She loves what she does and that's why she is so good. I love my hair now that you did it. You were really awsome about trying to keep the stuff you cut off at least 10 inches [so it could be donated to charity], that was really sweet of you, and I Idid not know what I wanted done to my hair and you and erik totally came up with my 'do, so yeah you rock!!!! - Eli

Kelsi cut off about 8 inches from my hair last January and styled it into a stacked bob. It came out perfectly! The layers turned under how they were supposed to, and even after I've grown it for a year I still haven't needed to have it shaped. -Dana
